The board pack, straight from the database

A Windows application for managers and directors. GeoMate publishes a signed snapshot of the whole organisation to a shared folder; GeoMex opens the newest one, shows what changed since the last board, and exports the board pack. Nobody at head office needs a database connection — or a spreadsheet assembled the night before.

GeoMex executive summary (demo organisation): drilling against plan, progress rings, year-end outlook, headline KPIs and the best intercepts of the period.

How it works

From GeoMate to the board room, in four steps

01

Publish from GeoMateDatabase ▸ Publish to GeoMex

GeoMate reads the database read-only, applies its own rules — grade, accepted assays, QAQC status, intercepts, drilling targets — and writes one .gmex file. Add a management note, or let the “Publish to GeoMex” automation do it every Monday at 07:00.

02

Signed and dropped in a shared folderSHA-256 · Ed25519

Every entry of the snapshot is hashed and the manifest is signed with the publishing workstation’s key, then written atomically to a SharePoint or network folder. No server to install, no port to open.

03

GeoMex verifies and opens itwatched · cached offline

GeoMex watches the folder, checks every hash and the signature, and refuses an altered file. The first snapshot from a new publisher asks you to trust its key fingerprint once. The newest snapshot opens, compared with the one before.

04

Filter, present, exportF5 · PDF · PPTX · Excel

Choose the period (MTD, QTD, YTD, 12 months, since last board…) and drill down country → programme → project → prospect. Present full-screen with F5, or export the board pack as PDF, PowerPoint or PNG, and the operations reports as a formatted Excel workbook.

The principle

GeoMate computes, GeoMex shows. What a grade is worth, which assay counts, whether a control passed and what an intercept is are decided once, in GeoMate, with GeoMate’s own rules. GeoMex only filters and aggregates — and on opening it recomputes the reference KPIs and warns if they differ from the publisher’s. The numbers on the board are the numbers in the database.

The pages

What management sees

Every page opens with a sentence that states the point, and every chart has a table view. Pages appear as soon as the snapshot carries their data.

Operations reports

The camp’s weekly and monthly sheets, driven by the same filters. The reporting week (Saturday–Friday by default) and month step with ◀ ▶; the Excel export writes all seven reports as formatted sheets with formula totals.

  • Activity report — by drilling method, with programme completion rings
  • Activity by project — metres, holes and samples
  • Laboratory reconciliation — pending at start + dispatched − received = pending at end
  • Programme status — planned, period, year to date, remaining
  • Intercept register — by prospect, with the “including” intervals
  • Validation register — verdicts by laboratory, rejected results, unsettled dispatches
  • Data issues register — findings to correct by hole, entry delay, entry by person

Trust, licensing & updates

  • Each snapshot is verified entry by entry (SHA-256) and by the publisher’s Ed25519 signature — an altered file is refused.
  • The publisher key is created per Windows account and sealed with DPAPI; its fingerprint is confirmed once in GeoMex.
  • Snapshots are cached locally: the board pack opens on a plane, in a board room without network, or after the share is unreachable.
  • A licence per computer, signed offline — 30-day trial once per machine, then licences managed from GeoMate Cloud with renewal, transfer, suspension and revocation.
  • Updates install themselves from an https address or a network folder, for sites without internet — each update is signed.
